If you’re heading for the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival next week then lucky you, because you’ll get your first chance to try this exciting new collaboration beer between S.t Erik‘s Jessica Heidrich and Rob Lovatt, Head Brewer from ultra respected Thornbridge Brewery.
Brewed at Thornbridge in the UK this stout more than earns its imperial title by weighing in at 10%ABV, boosted by a lavish blend of pale ale malt, light and dark crystal malt, chocolate malt and roasted barley. Just one hop was used – Bramling Cross – before the beer was infused with Scottish raspberries.
A total of 4,000L of stout was brewed and just 1,800 bottles are going on sale at the Systembolaget from October 1st, priced at 89SEK for a 500ml serving.
It sounds like exactly the sort of beer I want to drink as the Autumn weather draws in and the leaves begin to fall. Expect a full review shortly!
